In the last 100 years, what invention had the most impact on your life? Why?
Television. Mainly because I was able to keep up with events in the world. I watched the news every night. Living alone for over 40 years, it also provided entertainment.
What was your favorite decade? Why?
The 1980's. I traveled a lot then by air. My daughter was a Delta airline employee and I was able to fly for free. We went to many interesting places.
What advice would you give to a high school graduate today?
Work hard and save all the money you can. Also, you can do most anything you set as a goal in life.
What is the most important lesson you learned in your life?
My father taught me that education and hard work would give me a good life in which I could achieve any goal.
What leader in the past century impressed you the most? Why?
Franklin Roosevelt. He brought this country through some very difficult times.
