XPRIZE 100 Over 100 Candidates

Longevity is Their Legacy

This $10 million incentivized Prize challenges teams of scientists to sequence the DNA of 100 one-hundred-year-olds (centenarians) rapidly, accurately, and inexpensively. Once achieved, it could advance the creation of a “medical grade” genome necessary to provide actionable information to you and your physician.

The 100 centenarians who so generously donated their DNA to this competition are known as the XPRIZE 100 Over 100, a very exclusive group whose “rare genes” may protect them from age-related diseases and help them continue to enjoy long and healthy lives.

After the competition, researchers will have open access to study the DNA data from the XPRIZE 100 Over 100, giving science the tools to unlock the secrets of more than 10,000+ years of longevity, vitality and health.

Meet the current candidates below. We will reveal the final XPRIZE 100 Over 100 in April 2013.

Experience history from those who were there to see it.

Together, the candidates for the 100 Over 100 form an inspirational centenarian community. Browse their profiles to experience an amazing collection of life histories.
