In the last 100 years, what invention had the most impact on your life? Why?
I always loved automobiles. Dad let me drive our old Ford when I was 6. I remember sitting on his lap and steering down old farm roads in Iowa. My first car was a Ford Model T. I never had an accident my entire life.
What was your favorite decade? Why?
Music has been my life passion. I played the piano all over throughout the past century--I enjoyed every minute of it. There was not one decade better than the other.
What advice would you give to a high school graduate today?
Try to involve music into your life--any way you can. Personally, I do not like RAP music, so I cannot recommend it.
What is the most important lesson you learned in your life?
Pursue your life passion with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
What leader in the past century impressed you the most? Why?
Jascha Heifetz "The King"--perhaps the greatest violinist of our time. He performed for over 65 years and touched millions of people through his music. During WWII he gave hundreds of concerts for our troops throughout the world.
